By using authenticmessstudios.com and the tools on it (the "Site"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. We can change these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
1. What this is
Authentic Mess Studios, LLC provides free, browser-based productivity tools for people with ADHD: Task Breaker, the Three-Pile System, Crisis Restart Protocol, and the Dopamine Menu Builder, plus written articles.
This is not a medical device, a medical service, or a healthcare application. See the medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
2. No accounts, no subscriptions
There is no registration and no paid tier on this Site. Everything here is free to use. If we ever add a paid product, its own terms will be presented at the point of purchase.
You must be at least 13 to use the Site. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian is fine with it.
3. Your content stays yours
Anything you type into the tools stays on your device in your browser’s local storage. We do not receive it, store it, or claim any licence over it. The single exception is the text you submit to Task Breaker, which is sent to an AI provider to generate a response and is described in the privacy notice.
Do not use the Site to submit anything unlawful, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or any related system, to disrupt it, or to scrape or automate against it at a volume that degrades it for other people.
4. Data loss
Because your data lives in your browser and nowhere else, it can be lost. Clearing your browsing data, switching device, using private browsing, or a browser update can all remove it. Each tool has an export or copy function. Use it for anything you cannot afford to lose. We cannot recover data we never had.
5. Intellectual property
The Site’s design, code, written content, and the Authentic Mess Studios and Built For Chaos names and marks belong to Authentic Mess Studios, LLC. Human AF, the Three-Pile System, and the other methodologies published here are ours. Do not copy, redistribute, or resell them without written permission. You are welcome to use the tools personally and to link to them.
6. Third-party links
The Site links to third parties, including Amazon and builtforchaosbook.com. We are not responsible for their content, terms, or practices. Some outbound book links may be affiliate links.
7. No warranty
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result it produces is accurate or suitable for your situation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Authentic Mess Studios, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the Site, which is zero.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Authentic Mess Studios, LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Authentic Mess Studios, LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law rules, and disputes go to the state or federal courts located there.
